Tesla Method
Nikola Tesla, born on a stormy night in 1856, is one of the most brilliant minds in history. His inventions have shaped our society and are now part of our daily lives.
He is the father of alternating current (AC) motors, a central part of our modern electrical grid. His work extends to Radio, which has revolutionized remote communication, transforming the world into a veritable global village. He innovated by creating X-rays, paving the way for new advances in medicine and new means of diagnosis.
Tesla was convinced that the only solution to preventing lightning damage was to control the electrical charge in the surrounding atmosphere, instead of simply attempting to direct the lightning at a lightning rod.
It was in 1916 that he illustrated these words in his patent n° 1,266,175 which already mentioned the operating principles of the anti-lightning device.
"If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energies, frequency, information and vibration."
How does it work?
The arrester is grounded, allowing it to charge into positive electrodes, creating a potential difference.
Lightning protection uses this potential difference to balance electrical charges of opposite polarity. Positive charges attract negative electrodes floating in the air.
When balanced, the device absorbs opposite charges and drains this current to earth or surrounding water in harmless milliamps.
By stabilizing the electric field existing in its surroundings, it creates a protective shield that cancels the formation of upward tracers, thus eliminating the risk of lightning.
